Memories - Spring celebration day ( Kesapaiva )

In the nearby play park, on 19th of may there was this 'celebration of spring'. There were games for the kids, a local group of boy-scouts showing their tents and gears, but most of all, a firetruck !!! What else a kid could ask for ?....

.... so what else a kid could ask for ?

.... Baby ants of course :))))

(yep, my kids are always the same, no matter where we live lol )

Today I feel so blue.
I've been deluded by so many people.
 Left out.
Alone.
I know I'm not really alone.
And of course I know I've been blessed beyond I could hope for.
But still reality checks have always some painful brutality in them.
There's this dull aching, echoing inside you.
I never thought I would have ever said so.
But I'm really happy to leave this place and go on with my journey, along with the people most important for me.
My husband and children.
And Jesus in my heart.

Shalom

Memories - Nantaali

The following pics have been taken on 12 may when we went visiting Nantaali, this beautiful little town, close to Turku ( the former capital of Finland ) in the south-west of the country.

During the trip we had to stop to watch this more than interesting repairing work done on a huge ship.

They always get so excited when they can get close to any kind of oldfashioned country tool or item

It is so beautiful it seems a doll's place isn't it ? I love the coloured houses.

Less than 10 days to go before leaving Finland.
So many things to do.

May the peace be with us during this trying period of our lives.
And with you all.
Shalom

Warnemunde - A diary of our journey ( part eight - the arrival )

So here we are at the end of the journey that brought us here, in Finland. On the morning of 27 of april we left for Warnemunde. After visiting the sourroundings all day long, in the evening we went to harbour and placed ourselves in queue to get on board. It has been a very long wait. We got into the ship only around 22:00 and but we left the harbour only around 3 or 4 in the night, so while we were fully asleep. It has been such a weird feeling going to sleep watching the lights of the harbour and waking up in the middle of the sea, where sky and water and clouds are all of the same colour, and there silence and calm. We only arrived in Finland the morning of 29, so we spent on board 2 nights and a full day. We even had this lunch at the restaurant and we all had fun wearing fancy 'navy' dresses and behave like oldfashioned travellers. Everybody stared at us and smiled at the kids :). Memories.Sweet priceless memories we will cherish forever.

Time goes by, the moon says 'hello'

....

Now this gave some spice to the trip. In the afternoon some water started licking in the corridor where our cabins were. Being in the middle of the Baltic Sea, this could be a bad sign isn't it ?

The morning of 29. Here we are.

Finland

Today we had our last day to the flea market.Unfortunately I forgot the camera for the two weeks we've been there, so no pics . Tomorrow it's our 12th wedding anniversary.
Such a great exciting journey so far. We have been so so very blessed. We could grow and learn together. We had the priviledge to rise four precious children. Love them. Love each other. Living in love.
Have a wonderful and blessed sunday.

Travemunde - A diary of our journey ( part seven )

Time went by so fast, and here i am, just a couple of weeks away before leaving again, to write down one of the last moment of the journey that brought us here. It was the 26th of april when we arrived in Travemunde, on the Baltic Sea. After having days and days of warm and summerish weather the cold of the Baltic area hit us. We've been in that same hotel on november of 2007 when we travelled back to Italy from Finland, so it was nice to find familiar places and have fun remembering and making new sweet memories. Let's pictures do the talking now.

Can you tell, we loved this huge 'mills'

The corridor of the hotel, just like a ship, isn't it ?

What's so interesting in the elevator ?

Two old friends, still sitting there heheheh

Here we are Baltic Sea, quite different from our Mediterranean sea ....

Coooooooold

On the top of the world :)

A fun way to enjoy the sea

We also had the pleasure to visit the old lighthouse of Travemunde, so interesting.

And then we enjoyed a dinner in the Tex-Mex restaurant by the sea

And here the next morning, just before leaving for Warnemunde where we should have taken the ship to arrive in Finland. Some fun playing in the hotel playpark while PapaF was minding the hotel bill.
(Isn't it great to enjoy the kids fun while someone else takes care of the burocratic side of life ? Thank you PapaF ! )

Bye Bye Germany !!

Have a peaceful, happy weekend
my dear friends

Really.
